The goal of this project was to create an app that would allow bibliophiles to connect both in-person and virtually. I wanted to make it fast and easy to organize and manage a bookclub. The app also give users a way to store all of their favorite books as well as explore. Lastly I wanted to create a space for deeper engagement so that members could keep the conversation going even outside of club meetings.

DEVELOPMENT

I initially built this concept as a responsive website so that I could learn CSS, HTML and Javascript. Once developed, I confirmed that because of the location based component, it would be a better user experience as an app. One of the key features that sets this app apart from other similar book club apps is the connection aspect - you can connect with other avid readers near you and form a book club based on interests.
